Here Are 30+ Celebs Who Came Out As Being Gay Since 2000!

There once was a time when being gay was an absolute social taboo! Therefore, those who “came out” during those times were seriously concerned about their life and how it was going to change once everyone knew this about them. For that reason, many people kept this a closely guarded secret because no one wants to be shunned by family, friends or in a celebrity’s case, the public! So, many of them decided that it just wasn’t worth it to come out to a bunch of people who weren’t going to understand anyway. We were so closed minded back then!

Also, no matter how you feel about a gay person today, it simply doesn’t matter. They no longer fear being isolated and alone because so many people in our society have decided that there’s nothing wrong with being gay! So, you have probably noticed that many celebs have come out most recently since the turn of the century. It seems a fitting time to stretch the mind beyond its previous conventions. There is no better way to celebrate the future than to allow humanity to simply be happy with who they are. There is no harm in it to anyone so it has become just as natural as any other union.

So, let’s take a look at some of these celebs who decided that it was finally time to tell the world that they were gay. Also, you will notice how happy they are when they have to freedom to be whoever they want to be. None of which affects the outcome of their careers nor does it matter to those around them because we have all realized that being gay is no different than being a human being which is exactly what we all are, no matter who our hearts and bodies decide to finesse. . .

Is it a stereotype if I say that all gay people look happy? Perhaps it’s just in the words. . . But come on! This guy looks so happy to be gay! We love it. Serious. So, this ‘Glee’ star told the world that he was gay via his Twitter in 2018. Who knew? That’s the fun thing about social media, you don’t even have to announce it to the press or anything. If people want to know, they will find you and discover whatever it is that you wish to tell them. Now, he must feel better since the announcement. Now, all the women can stop knocking down his door. . .

Kevin Spacey

He came out on Twitter back in October 2017 and that was only because he was responding to a sexual assault allegation by actor Anthony Rapp. So, we all had to find out the hard way! Way to go Spacey. . . We don’t mind the gay thing but it’s never kosher to keep it such a secret that others will be truly surprised by any sort of advance that he chooses to make on a man. That’s the most difficult part and that’s when one man knows and another man doesn’t. . . Be careful how you “come out”!

He came out on his Instagram account saying, “As a young boy, I knew I wanted to be an actor. It was around that age that I also knew, however abstractly, that I was different from some of the other boys in my grade. Over time, this abstract ’knowing’ grew and articulated itself through a painful gestation marked by feelings of despair and alienation, ending in a climax of saying three words out loud: ’I am gay.’”
