Most of us know that being a mom is one of the hardest jobs in the world.
Being a mom is a full-time job that some moms have to juggle with another full time. The only difference is that the full-time job you put more hours into (being a mom) doesn’t pay as well…
Unless you count adorable smiles and hugs as payment, then it’s the best paying job in the world!
When you’re a mom, you work around the clock, trying to make sure that your kid is happy, healthy, and most importantly, alive.
Moms really don’t get enough credit for all the things they do to look after their family. It’s sad but true.
But what’s just as hard is the task of becoming a mom!
It’s nine long months of baking the bun you’ve got in your oven, and waiting for the big day when you finally get to hold your little bundle of joy!
But pregnancy can do some pretty crazy things to you, and it can feel weird and overwhelming.
Especially if you’re pregnant with your first child.
A lot of people underestimate what it’s like to be pregnant and the aftermath of pregnancy. They just think it’s food crazings and a little bit of morning sickness here and there, but it’s really not!
One of the other things most new moms think will happen is that their baby bumps will just disappear overnight!
They never do.
That baby bump is yours to keep, and if you want t get rid of it then you’re going to have to hit the gym to work it off.
One of the most beautiful moments a mother can experience is childbirth.
True, it may not be visually beautiful, but it’s certainly a beautiful moment spiritually and emotionally.
All those nine months of hard work (and a few added hours) equate to being finally introduced to your newborn baby.
That moment you hold your baby for the first time is always a touching and powerful moment and seeing it happen is enough to make anyone crying.
Labour and the process of giving birth are painful. This is something we’re all too aware of.
But it makes for an incredible photo opportunity for some moms.
Some moms decide to hire photographers to photograph these precious and beautiful moments on camera, and the end results are always beautiful, moving, and incredibly thought-provoking!
Lacey Barratt is one of these photographers, and her work is utterly incredible.
She captures the real and honest moments, and she’s totally unapologetic when it comes to her work. I like her already!
