1. Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1998)
This half-animated, half- live action movie was a big hit back in 1988. Although she was a cartoon character, Jessica Rabbit (who wasn’t a rabbit, by the way) became a bona fide sex symbol of the era, and continues to inspire many a young woman’s halloween costume to this day.
Men of a certain age will remember trying to freeze frame the shot shown above, although most of them wouldn’t admit it.
2. Scanners (1981)
This scene, where a man’s head explodes without warning, is a classic example of overblown tongue-in-cheek movie gore. It’s worth slowing it down and seeing it happen in slow motion.
3. Basic Instinct (1992)
Sharon Stone was arguably the biggest sex symbol of her time, and looking at the picture above, it’s not hard to see why. This scene became something of a legend in itself, and a lot of guys over the years have tried to freeze frame it at the moment when… well, you can probably guess.
4. She’s The Man (2006)
In this much-paused scene from the mid-2000s movie, Amanda Bynes has to go to drastic measures to demonstrate that she is, in fact, a girl. The guy she’s looking at is Channing Tatum, who is now one of the world’s most ‘bankable’ movie stars. Amanda doesn’t appear in movies anymore.
5. Wild things (1998)
In terms of the most-paused scenes in the movie, well, put it this way – there are a number of contenders. But we can’t show you any, because this is a family website…
