The 33-year-old reality star is currently expecting her first child with the 26-year-old NBA player and has taken to her app to share advice with her followers on how to maintain a healthy relationship with a significant other.
She wrote: “[It] really depends on what you value in your own life and consider good. Allowing one another to evolve and grow and allowing yourselves to miss one another [are important factors].
“[It’s about compromise]. That doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’re growing up. Forgive quickly and honestly. Be vulnerable and open about love.”
However, Khloe admitted her and Tristan – who has a 14-month son from his previous relationship – had an instant connection when they met, and she soon realised that he was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
She said: “My answer for this probably doesn’t apply to everybody, but I knew Tristan was the one very quickly – I have never felt so comfortable or so safe with someone. Because of that, I took it very slowly and was cautious about how I went about ‘us’. I made sure we had very in-depth conversations. I wanted to make sure that those conversations were backed up by actions.
“Tristan was so forthcoming with his life, as I was with mine. It was really reassuring to feel that someone had the same belief systems as I did. We spoke about religion, children and our families. I think all of those things are important to truly know the ins and outs of someone. It’s really easy to fall in love with someone during a honeymoon phase when you haven’t yet discussed the logistics of life. But you have to talk about the real things if you want a real/long-lasting relationship.”
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star has been vocal in praising her boyfriend for his support throughout her pregnancy, saying that his role has been “crucial” in making the process easier for her.
She said: “Having a partner that is equally as excited as you are, and is such a support system, is crucial! Tristan has been an angel to me! This process is trying – physically and mentally – but Tristan has made everything as easy and beautiful as it can be! More than I could have imagined.”
Khloe admitted she is still shocked to be pregnant but is “excited” about the baby’s arrival.
She posted: “Don’t mind me… just growing a human over here!! Still, I almost can’t believe it. I know im a nerd but im just so excited.(sic)”
Although the couple are about to start a family together, Khloe isn’t in a rush to marry Tristan after her last marriage, to Lamar Odom, ended so publicly.
On the most recent episode of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, Khloe spoke to hair stylist and close friend, Jen Atkin, about her relationship:
“I was married before and it didn’t do anything, I’m in a good, healthy relationship.”
The star told her older sister, Kim Kardashian West, that she won’t be giving birth to their baby in the same L.A. hospital that the rest of the family have used, and instead has chosen to have the baby in Cleveland, where the NBA star is based.
She explained: “We’re having the baby in Cleveland, my doctor, she’s flying to Cleveland to deliver the baby.”
With a family that has become famous for choosing unusual names for their children, most recently Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s choosing to name their baby daughter Stormi Webster, Khloe is feeling the pressure of deciding on a name for her first child.
She told ‘Extra’ that her family and friends have been helping her with suggestions, but they often come up with the same ones: “It’s honestly the hardest thing and I Iove suggestions, but everyone keeps giving me the same suggestions; If it’s a girl, Kristin; if it’s a boy, Tristan. I’m like, ‘Could we do a little more? I need a little more options.'”
The ‘Revenge Body’ star has admitted to having weight issues in the past and remarked that she feels “wider” as her bump grows, but instead of worrying too much about her baby weight, she’s decided to embrace her changing shape.
She said: “Well, now that there’s more of a bump, there’s a transitional period… a different shape. You’re wider… So I’m embracing it now.
“You really do feel so feminine and maternal.”
And she took to twitter to tell her followers about her “cute” cellulite.
She tweeted: “I now have cellulite on my legs! Cute! Cute! “Pregnancy may make cellulite look worse for a while, because the weight that you gain in pregnancy could make it more noticeable.”
“I feel like I’ve always had cellulite but it’s way more prominent at the moment.(sic)”
However, the ‘Revenge Body’ host is pleased she hasn’t got any stretch marks on her growing bump and joked it was one of the “perks” of being overweight in the past.
She wrote: “So far no stretch marks. So I’m happy about that. the perks of being chubby previously. Lol my tummy knows how to stretch.(sic)”
While she’s embracing her changing body, Khloe recently admitted she “misses” her old figure and can’t wait to return to her gruelling work out routines when she has recovered from the birth.
Alongside a sad face emoji, she wrote on Instagram: “Body, I miss you.”
She said: “I love that I’m staying active during my pregnancy! I’m so lucky I’ve been able to still work out.
“Of course, I can’t go as hard as I did before, and I really do miss my intense workouts.
“During my pregnancy, I’m obviously not beating myself up about what I’m eating at all.
“I’m more encouraged by how, after the baby comes, I’m going to work off every pound. I’m actually really excited to get my body back. I can’t wait!”
