It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for since hearing about the arrival of Britain’s newest little Prince. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (also known as Will & Kate) welcomed this little bundle of joy into the world at 11:01 am on April 23rd, weighing in at 8lbs 7oz, and after finally finding out the sex of the baby there was only one more question left on the minds of the people; what are they going to name him?
Well ladies and gentlemen, today is the day we find out! Moments ago that much-awaited tweet from Kensington Palace’s official account came through, and I am here to tell you that the Duke and Duchess have decided to name their son Louis Arthur Charles. How sweet!
His full title will be “His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge”, which you have to admit isn’t too bad for somebody who’s not even a week old yet! Prince William’s middle name is also Arthur, as well as Prince Charles’ (Louis’s grandfather), with William’s full name being ‘William Arthur Philip Louis’. Prince Louis is now also fifth-in-line to the throne as he will not be surpassing his older sister Princess Charlotte, despite being a male heir, due to a change in law a few years back (Hurray for progress!).
So there you have it, welcome to the world Prince Louis! And congratulations once more to the Duke and Duchess… and of course, Good luck!
Now all that’s left for us to do is wait for the release of the official baby pictures! Aaaah.
