1. Drink water regularly

We all know that drinking a good amount of water every day is a healthy habit to get into, but how much, and when? Well, apparently it’s best for you to drink 1-2 glasses of water 30 minutes before each meal. With this approach, your metabolism will have a fresh start, and your stomach will be partly filled, helping you to feel full without eating quite as much. This hydration regime could also help with your sweet tooth, and prevent you from raiding the fridge.

2. Pay attention to your food

Make eating a regular ritual. Take your time. Sit down at the table, don’t rush, don’t try to multitask, don’t think about problems, don’t watch TV, don’t talk on the phone. Just focus on your food. Be mindful of what you eat and how you do it.

3. Use a smaller plate and/or change your cutlery

4. Get more sleep
