15 Famous Kids Who Changed Beyond All Recognition

The problem with being a child star is that you grow up famous. Well, it’s one of the problems, anyways.

Everyone gets to watch you grow up in the public eye!

Maybe you don’t think that’s much of a problem… well, would you want the whole internet to be full of pictures of you from back when you were a kid?

Didn’t think so!

So spare a thought for these child stars, who you could barely even recognize these days!

1. Scarlett Johansen

Remember back when Hollywood star Scarlett was just a lass? Wow she’s changed since then, but you can definitely recognize her as a kid!

2. Daryl Sabara

The former child starDaryl Sabara is probably best known to the world for playing Juni Cortez in the Spy Kids film series, and so we always think of him as that slightly dorky red headed kid he was back them. There were 4 movies in all, and he took the lead in all of them, which is a pretty impressive feat for a child of just 9 years of age when the first movie was released!

These days he’s a pretty handsome young man, and although he might not be so recognizable on our screens any more, he dates pop star Meghan Trainor!

3. Blake McIver Ewing

Blake McIver Ewing might either be best known for playing Michelle’s friend Derek on the sitcom Full House, or in the role of Waldo in the 1994 feature film version of The Little Rascals.

These days, he’s most recognizable for appearing on The People’s Couch reality show on Bravo… and for being hella good looking!

4. Ariel Winter

Ariel Winter has grown up before our very eyes on screen in the role of Alex Dunphy in the TV comedy series Modern Family.

Beginning her career in the sitcom at just 12 years of age, she is now stunning at 19 and provides her talented voice acting skills in a huge list of cartoons and videogames!

5. Hilary Duff

Sure we probably recognize Hilary Duff from the Disney series Lizzy Maguire, or from one of her many videos as a pop star… or even her film roles!

But do you remember the first time she appeared on our screens way back in 1998 for the role of Wendy the Good Witch in the direct-to-video sequel to Casper The Friendly Ghost, Casper Meets Wendy? I bet you don’t!

6. Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore was famously a child actor way back in the 1980s, most well known for her role in the Steven Spielberg movie E.T. The Extra Terrestrial.

Do you remember the scene with Barrymore as Elliott’s sister Gertie, who screams bloody murder when she finds E.T. in the house?

She went on to star in tons of famous movies like Scream, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Never Been Kissed, Charlie’s Angels and Donnie Darko. She directed Whip It! in 2009 and won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Grey Gardens!

7. Georgie Henley

Georgina Helen “Georgie” Henley is an English actress best known for her portrayal of Lucy Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia film series, including The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which have grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide among them!

Now that all of that is behind her, she recently starred in the drama Access All Areas.
