Prepare for some Architectural Digest stuff right here…
Okay Acidheads, we’re turning into interior design experts for the day. Our specialty? Bathrooms. We don’t all have the dollar to have fancy a** bathrooms with a romantic view of the sea, marble everything, heated floors, a huge bath that fits two comfortably and egyptian cotton towels. No, most of us settle for running water, a shower head over the bath tub and a view of our backyard. But we can dream, right?
So these bathrooms take fancy to the next level and as a result we can’t stop staring at how sexy they are. With views you’d never dream of and features way beyond what we ever expected to be possible, we NEED these bathrooms in our lives. And what’s the good news? YOU could potentially stay in the hotels that have these bathrooms. But I’d suggest you start saving now…
1. Osprey Pavilion, Southern Ocean Lodge, Kangaroo Island, Australia
Views for days. Extensive views of greenery across a stunning island in the Great Australian Bight, this bathroom features a enormous granite tub and heated limestone floors. It’s available from $1,524 per person/night (includes all meals and a selection of excursions).
We love this one. Built amongst the rafters of Amsterdam’s former Postal Savings Bank from the 19th century, the Conservatorium hotel gives remarkable 360 views and rooms come with a deep soak tub made with Jerusalem sandstone. From $3,869/night, so empty your pockets for this one.
Bellissimo! A luxury hotel in Flornence, Tuscany, Il Salviatino boasts these lavish bathrooms with designs by a Bruschi fresco from 1886. The tub with it’s ancient carvings centered in the grandiose room, might be our favourite bath ever. This suite starts from a whopping $1,216/night.
4. Jade Mountain Resort, St. Lucia
Oh wow. This bathroom has the best view we’ve ever seen. We’re getting James Bond/Tony Stark vibes. You can enjoy these chromatherapy whirl pool tubs whilst gazing romantically out at the mountains of St Lucia. These suites start from $1500 a night so start saving!
5. Atlantic, The Palm, Dubai
The aquarium bathroom! At the 5-star Atlantis, The Palm, the Underwater suite comes equipped with an exquisite ensuite bathroom, complete with floor to ceiling views looking upon the majestic underwater Ambassador Lagoon. Of course, this experience doesn’t come cheap, starting from a staggering $3,900 for a night!
How amazing! Kandima resort boasts over 270 suites and villas. In the Aqua Villas (above) guests can soak in the deep tub while looking out over the Indian Ocean. The hook: It is known that guests often spot dolphins while sitting in the tub! Magical. The Aqua Villa starts from $1062 a night. Hey big spenders!
7. Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund, China
The Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund hotel is located in the North Bund area of the Chinese city. The bath gives you a showstopping view across the Huangpu river onto the impressive skyscrapers of the city. We adore it and we’ve got good news for you guys… you can get these views from $362 a night!
8. Viña Vik, Millahue, Chile
This super modern tub is giving us great vibes. It’s a special carbon-fiber Vessel bathtub that mimics a hammock style with a beautiful view across the Chilean wine country. But of course it does come at a price. You can chill in this majorly modern tub for $1,200/night.
9. Dromadaire Suite, La Sultana, Marrakech
My personal favourite. I’m getting major Game Of Thrones vibes. Once opening these enormous antique copper doors, you find yourself in this Dromadaire Suite where the walls are made from a traditional Moroccan plaster that’s treated with natural soap to increase its water resistance. From $561/night.
10. Dedon Island, the Philippines
Heaven is a place on earth, and it’s Dedon island. “Dedon Island is a living testament to the company’s mantra of “barefoot luxury.”The guest baths feature locally sourced bamboo and yakal wood, indigenous stone, a rain shower cleverly concealed in the ceiling, and, of course, Dedon’s Babylon stools.” This one’s on the cheaper (still not cheap) side of these bathrooms from $552 per person per night.
Well Acidheads, what did you make of these incredible bathrooms? Would you visit any? What’s your favourite? I hope that we could at least help you feel inspired!
